The ACWW
Associated Country Women of the World
Mrs Cherry Grey told of the work of A.C.W.W. in underdeveloped countries around the world, and of her visit to New Zealand to attend the world conference. She passed around a bright shiny brass bowl - her begging bowl - and collected a good amount towards their funds.

October & November
October's speaker was Bob Kitchen, an organic Lancashire Cheese making comediean.
He made a small cheese from the milk to the pressing stage, at the same time having everyone
in fits of laughter telling of his experiences and how he became a cheesemaker. To finish off
there were samples of various cheeses he makes.
Later in the month there was a Fashion Show at the Edinburgh Wool Shop which was enjoyed by 50 members and friends.
At November's A.G.M., where it was agreed Elsie Evans will continue as
President with the Bernadette O'Donnell and Val Hensby continuing as Secretary and Treasurer respectively. Other committee members are Margaret Jones, Margaret Lunny, Teresa Morley, Ann Antrobus, Cath Smith and Ann McAll. The meeting was followed by a beetle drive and a finger buffet prepared and served by the committee.
