Background
Since 2008 it Cheshire Year of the Gardens, Little Leigh has been awarded a £250 grant for planting bulbs around the village.
We are currently approaching businesses in the village to try and obtain matching funding and will then be ordering the bulbs later this month and plan to get some daffodils, snowdrops and bluebells.
Locations that have been suggested are:
- entrances to the village in the verges such as the banks near the Leigh Arms and Horns,
- near the Church,
- the Village Hall,
- Brakeley Lane
- the junction between Hall Lane and Cogshall Lane under the Oak tree.
If you have any comments or other suggestions or would be willing to help with the planting in autumn, please contact Sue Griffiths on 891562, come and sign up at the ‘Green Day', complete the "I'm interested" form, join in the discussion at Discussion Forum or email us at
