What's Freecycle?

You've heard of ebay where you sell your unwanted items - well freecycle is where you give away what you don't really want. And find stuff in return.

Say you've got something that really isn't worth anything and don't think it's fair to ask someone to pay for it - freecycle it.

And it works the other way. Rather than buy and pay postage for something on ebay - why not see if someone local has one they want to get rid of?

Freecycle comes across as a more local and "trusting" network. Ebay (whilst good) has been accused of having a "I'm in it for the money" mentality.

Freecycle is really about helping others out by passing on that item that really you don't need any longer and just want it out of the garage. Or lounge. Or wardrobe.
